Thomas and Friends

Milo and Calvin's Trains from curtis nemetz on Vimeo.
Here is the train table that I built the boys for Christmas with my Bare Hands out of a solid peace of Cedar.
Thomas loves his new table. Thanks to all the grandparents who hooked the boys up with all the train gear. They love it. Merry Christmas. THE PASSWORD TO WATCH THE VIDEO IS: thomas

Our Civil War Soldier

Milo smacked his head on the coffee table tonight. So Vali wrapped him up using her CPR trainer Certification skillz. He keeps saying he has a "big awesome band aid" on his head. I can't wait to see his big awesome Goose Egg in the morning. I'll take a picture of that too.

Christmas Tree Shopping

So we learned this year that Christmas Tree prices do not go up in a rational way. The 6 foot tree we bought was 60 bucks. The 8 foot tree we looked at was 130 bucks and not nearly as nice. I guess that extra two feet is really tough to grow.

oh and scroll down cause there's a bunch of new stuff

Halloween

WE celebrated halloween with our Church, LBC, this year. It was seriously legit and such a better alternative to trick or treating. The kids had so much fun... except Calvin cried every time we had to get him out of that train.

Calvin's Bite

I am really trying to catch up on our blogging for the out of town family members especially. Here we have the remnants of Calvin's bite wound he got from some little girl at "The Marketplace". The Marketplace is the best strip mall in Bako... they have a fountain and everything.

Potty Training Cowboy

Milo was showing off his new chonies tonight. No, he is not potty-trained... not even close. But like Vali said, we should make every kid wear cowboy boots and boxer briefs cause it makes them cuter. Calvin however is potty trained... we have trained him to go to the bathroom in his diaper while sitting on the pot. It is amazing.

Oh yeah... Calvin ate a flower that was part of an arrangement on our kitchen counter the other day during breakfast. His grandma GG took this picture of him later that day. The pollen from the flower stained his entire face and both hands.

Christmas Card Photos

Thank you Joel Flory for the amazing family photos. We don't have any other good shots of the whole family actually looking at the camera with a pleasant face.

Park Rockin' with Mima and Papa

Boyz at the Pizzy fo' Shizzy from curtis nemetz on Vimeo.
My parents came into town and took the boys to the park. A perfect opportunity to practice the glide cams. Also, Milo helped me make this video. He seriously sat in a chair for nearly an hour and gave me suggestions. It was awesome. I have never been so proud.

My Glide Cams...

Boys in the Backyard from curtis nemetz on Vimeo.

I got some glide cams a couple of days ago and am trying to master them. Here is some video I shot of the family this morning. It has been amazing so far using these but I am also realizing how weak I am. My arm was shaking after 3 minutes. I guess Travis and I are going to have to hit the weights from now until next year's wedding season.

Git Er Done...

We took our chitlin's down to the Kern County Fair. We watched Kelly Pray chase some cows on her horse and I (Curtis) almost got in a fist fight with a 60 year old lady... she was really tough. I ate a $6 cinabon that Nick Chapman bought me and a 32 ounce Coors Light. Heluva night.
If you see Milo ask him about the Pig sleepin' in his bowl

Feeling SO emo...

Man Bakersfield Makes us Soooooo EMo. Its just such an urban canvas for our deep rooted depression. Who even cares?

Our Little baby is ONE!!!

and our other baby is TWO. It really does go by quickly. More pictures to come for Auntie Kik in Portland and Uncle Joe in El Slavador. Quick note: Milo thinks that Uncle Joe lives on the Island of Sodor, the home of Thomas the Train, because it sounds like El Salvador. Joe, Milo now thinks you live on the coolest place on earth.

"I'm black..."

Not to get all "After school special" on everyone but...

Milo and I were reading a Thomas the Train book today called "Green Train, Blue Train". After we finished the book I asked Milo which train was blue. He answered "Thomas". I asked him which train was green. He answered "Percy".
He then looked at a picture of his cousin Madeira in the hallway and asked me "what color is Dooda?"
I said "I don't know Milo what color is Dooda?" He answered "She's blue."
"Oh" I said, "what color is Milo?"
He looked down at his black shirt and answered, "I'm black."
"And what color is calvin?"
Milo looked at Calvin walking around in a blue shirt and answered, "He's blue too."
